TTD Beefs up security at Trimula

TIRUPATI: Following the recent blastsat Mumbai, the temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) hasbeefed up the security apparatus at the hill town. A master plan toavoid any untoward incident during the time of Brahmotsavam especially on GarudaSeva day has also been chalked out.According to VGO Rudra Kumar, amaster plan has been sketched out by the temple administration and has been sentto the top police brass at Hyderabad for final approval. It may berecalled that during last year, there was a stampede in the hill shrine onGaruda Seva day. In order to prevent it TTD has taken all necessarysteps.Meanwhile on Wednesday, TTD has installed four VehicleInspection Mirrors near Ram Bageecha, GNC toll gate and Alipiri toll gate tomonitor any explosives attached to the vehicles. 16 more would be installedbefore 20th September at several vulnerable points.Even the carparking near Ram Bageecha which has close proximity to the main shrine is likelyto be shifted to another place. Cars of VIP''s and TTD officials would alone beallowed to park in front of Ram Bageecha guest house. VIP''s should invariablywalk to and from the temple.
